On June 15, Montgomery County Police Detectives arrested a suspect in the murder of Darius Cooper on January 10, 2021.
Cooper, 25, of Germantown, and the suspect Jakel Delante Stone, 31, of Glen Burnie apparently got into a fight in a South Frederick Avenue apartment building parking lot in Gaithersburg and Cooper was shot.
According to police, Stone’s DNA was found at the scene of the murder. Based on the evidence, police arrested Stone in Anne Arundel County. He has been transported central processing and held without bail.
