Duvall Park is a little 3-acre park, playground and basketball court tucked away on Holly Drive.
It's a really quiet space to chill with the kids. The playground is a bit old, but the kids enjoyed it.
Exploring the park, we found this marker about a woman named Julia Mc Dowell put there by the "Neighborhood Garden Club."
I wonder if anyone remembers Julia, she passed away in 2001 at the age of 77. Born January 25, 1923, Julia is buried in Forest Oak Cemetary with her husband and son. Her son passed away in 1985 at the age of 29.
Duvall Park has been part of this community for a long time. So if you're looking for a relaxed playground, Duvall Park fits the bill.
